چکیده

This paper investigates the behaviour of exposed column base-plates with four outer anchor bolts subjected to monotonic loading. The results six full-scale tests on steel base-plate connections uni/biaxial bending moment are presented. influence thickness and axis orientation connection response is thoroughly investigated. In addition standard measurements, Digital Image Correlation has been used closely monitor evolution contact area that develops in tensile compressive zones. Furthermore, a detailed finite element model developed using software Abaqus explore additional orientations axis. numerical allows investigate bolt forces, pressure distribution lever arm, strongly resistance rotational stiffness. An Analytical suggested for calculation whatever position centre compression directly depends thickness. A plastic redistribution also considered between rows when biaxial applied base-plate.
